Nigloland is above all a family story: the Gelis-Caron family has been perpetuating the tradition of show business, circus and funfair for 6 generations. After starting out in the circus arts in 1838 with Frédéric Caron, circus director and trapeze artist, and his brother Philippe Caron, clown, the family has never left the entertainment business.
As early as 1925, they were on the roads of France, running some of the country's finest funfairs, before settling down in 1987 when brothers Philippe and Patrice Gelis founded Nigloland on the family estate.
A family tradition with no end in sight, as demonstrated by the arrival of Philippe's son Rodolphe and Patrice's daughter Valentine at the park's helm in early 2017.
Today, with some forty attractions, including 12 thrill rides and 28 accessible to children under 1 metre tall, its 8 restaurants and its 4* Hotel des Pirates, Nigloland has been voted by its peers the 3rd best European theme park ahead of major international groups.
Nigloland welcomes you to a 40-hectare site in the heart of the Orient Forest in the Aube département, and invites you to explore 4 themed villages:
In terms of attractions, Nigloland has gradually shed its image as an amusement park for toddlers, with 27 attractions accessible to children under 1 metre tall, and has been offering new thrill rides for several years now. These include the world's tallest rotating free-fall tower: the Extreme Dungeon, inaugurated in 2016. This attraction allows the bravest visitors to enjoy a 360° view of the park before a dizzying 100-meter freefall stopped by magnets at the end.
Among the big new features for 2018:
Hop on the back of a bee and travel the world with it on this lovely family ride with gigantic backdrops. Launch yourself into a frantic race at the controls of a Zabeille as it flies over the wonderful world of Nigloland.
As of summer 2018, discover the Eden Palais, Nigloland's new history-filled venue, featuring a museum, a tearoom, a cinema area and an authentic attraction: Le Carrousel 1900.
